Last June I got to know that #NoEthicsNoBrand was collecting ideas in order to create some podcast series for their web platform www.gliascoltabili.it. They already had four projects ready for kick-off but there was still some space left to fill. When I presented the first draft of “Sostenibilità for beginners” to Giacomo Zito, the director of Cast4 –a company that is already sensitive to sustainability– he immediately showed his enthusiasm and gave me the opportunity to work in a team together with Giuseppe Paternò di Raddusa (author and speaker) and Francesco Mastroeni (author) to make the project a reality. Today –after the 12 episodes that compose the first season– we are talking about starting the second series!
The series is entirely dedicated to Sustainable Development with the aim of making complex topics –such as climate change or plastic pollution– accessible to everyone. We tried to keep on the one hand a scientific approach by interviewing some experts from the scientific, business and NGOs world, while, on the other hand, involving random people in markets and in the streets, to get the common perception of the topics.
When we were about to launch the first episode we got in touch with LifeGate. The organisation was extremely interested in the project. As a result all of the episodes have been published on their website and extracts of 3 minutes have been included in their everyday radio broadcasts on the frequency FM 105.1 (Milano) at 7:30 am and 7:30 pm.
