More info

The ESDW is a European-wide initiative to stimulate and make visible activities, projects and events that promote sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It takes place every year from 30 May until 5 June.

Due to COVID-19, the ESDW 2020 wants to take into account the fact that event organizers may need to adhere to public health guidelines during the time for which the ESDW 2020 was originally planned. In an effort to allow organizers to reschedule their events the ESDW 2020 will be postponed and will now be taking place from 18 September – 08 October, with the core of the ESDW 2020 taking place 20 September – 26 September. The ESDW recognizes the importance that sustainable development has, especially during this time of crisis, and underlines the importance of not losing our focus on sustainable development. Therefore, the ESDW would like to encourage activities to take place now that deliver relief, support, and “sharing and caring” responses to the crisis in the spirit of the SDGs if they can be done safely or run in a virtual setting.
