SDWatch.eu is an independent, non-profit and student-led project initiated and managed by students and alumni of the LL.M in Sustainable Development at the University of Milan. It is supported by the Department of Italian and Supranational Public Law of the University and part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
The idea of a student-led academic platform to support the growth of the LL.M Sustainable Development Community at the University of Milan, flourished in the mind of Students in the very first class of the programme (2015-2017).
The concept of SD Watch developed in close cooperation between the various stakeholders of the programme, including teaching staff, student volunteers of all years and external partners.
In May 2018, after several months of consultations and development, the SD Watch platform was launched officially.
The following sections introduce the actors behind this project, its timeline and objectives.

Appointment of Student Assistants (Editors) is made according to the rules and procedures of the University of Milan's Student Collaborations programme (Collaborazioni studentesche 150/300 ore). Each student is appointed following a fair and transparent selection process, according to criteria laid down in the call for application issued beforehand, and freely accessible on the Department of Public International Law website. Likewise, the outcome of the selection process is published on the dedicated section of the website (in Italian).
